The Flax Trust Super Bowl Ball This year’s Flax Trust Super Bowl Ball, one of the largest cross community black tie events in the social calendar in Belfast, was held on Friday, 9th February 2007 in the Europa. The Flax Trust is a registered charity, formed in Belfast in 1977, whose aim is ‘Reconciliation of a divided community through economic development and the promotion of enrichment through respect for cultural difference’. This year we honoured the Rt. Hon. Peter Hain MP, Secretary of State for Northern Ireland; Dermot Ahern TD, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dublin and David Humphreys MBE, from the world of international rugby. Next year’s Super Bowl Ball will take place on the 8th February 2008 in the Europa. Honourees to be confirmed.
